Advocacy Day 2027
An invitation-only advocacy event for the Habitat for Humanity California network.
February 9-10, 2027 | Sacramento, CA
Coming Together. Speaking Up. Building Change.
California is entering a new chapter in housing policy. With a new Governor taking office and a new legislative session underway, the decisions made in Sacramento in 2027 will shape the future of affordable homeownership for years to come.
On February 9–10, 2027, Habitat for Humanity California will bring together affiliate leaders, board members, staff, homeowners, volunteers, advocates, and invited partners from across the state for our 16th Annual Advocacy Day.
Together, we'll elevate the importance of affordable homeownership, strengthen relationships with state leaders, and advocate for the policies and resources needed to help more Californians achieve the stability and opportunity of owning a home.
Why Advocacy Day Matters
Every year, Habitat California advocates come to Sacramento with a shared purpose - to ensure that affordable homeownership remains a priority for California's policymakers.
Our collective advocacy has helped secure critical investments in CalHome, advance legislation that removes barriers to affordable housing development, and elevate the voices of families and communities directly impacted by the housing shortage.
But there is more work to do.
Advocacy Day is our opportunity to build on that progress, connect with newly elected and returning legislators, and demonstrate the important role Habitat affiliates play in addressing California's housing challenges.
